Description

She Dances was written for a dear friend. As one travels the work, they are moving through a progression of my thoughts, musings, and—at times painful—reflections or expectations of them. These elements are anchored to primarily melodic themes, at times rhythmic aggression or uneasiness, as well as intervalic relationships and movements between mallets three and four. Very few musical moments are delivered without a literal attachment to an experience with them, feeling for them, or emotional connection to them.
